SAAF calls for evidence-based pregnancy support

A recent investigation found that a number of National Health Service (NHS) bodies in the UK have been signposting to ‘Crisis Pregnancy Centres’. These centres have links to anti-abortion groups and are set up around the world, often with the aim of dissuading people from choosing to end their pregnancies.

SAAF is quoted in the Open Democracy article:

“In an ideal world, these medical establishments would not have needed an exposé like this to assess the quality of the services they are signposting to. We would hope to see all NHS services signposting only to evidence-based and balanced pregnancy support services.”
