We’re happy to be able to share the new SAAF Annual Report – collecting grantee partner stories and achievements from 2022.
Read the report to find out more about continuing and new grantee partners, and changes we’ve made to our funding to ensure we remain flexible and impactful.
Thank you to all the organisations who provided information for the report, which we are happy to be able to share in our working languages of English, French and Spanish.
Check out page four of our Annual Report for a reflection on the past year from our new Co-Chairs:
“As board members we were honoured to be tasked with the final selection of grantees under the new round of funding launched in 2022. We were impressed by the creativity of proposals, and the passion and drive of organisations working in very restrictive settings.
SAAF Board Co-Chairs Génesis Luigi and Mamello Makhele
It was great to see evidence that this call for funding was really reaching the small, grassroots organisations SAAF seeks to support, and not just ‘the usual suspects’. 93% of applicants had never applied for SAAF funding before, and just under half had an annual budget of less than $50,000 USD.
We love to know that more feminist, youth-led and progressive groups are expanding their work to boldly stand up for the right to safe, legal, abortion wherever they are.”
